Coach Zach’s Bio
Coach Zach has been coaching and competing in the sport of weightlifting for over 15 years now. In that time he has qualified for and competed at two World Weightlifting Championships, made it to the Olympic Trials, coached multiple local, level, and international qualifying athletes, and earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degree in the exercise science field. Also through that time Zach has moved around the United States for 10 years before settling back in his home town of Kansas City. Growing up in Gladstone Zach has always had a passion for exercise, strength, and developing physical and mental strength. During his high school years he attended North Kansas City High School where he was a Varsity swimmer and track and field athlete, and began pursuing competitive weightlifting as a senior.
It is Zach’s persistence on reaching for something better that has helped form his philosophy on physical development. Whether its rehabbing clients from injuries to get them back to being pain free and more physically active or teaching youths the basics of weightlifting, Zach spends countless hours each week helping improve people’s lives. His main passion now is Youth Weightlifting, but he is always up for a challenge in helping a client reach a new peak or in his own personal goals. While not in the gym Zach likes to relax with his close friends, eat at new restaurants trying new and different things, and enjoy the growing culture of Kansas City!
