We will have the privilege of collecting toys for Toys for Tots at the Candy Cane Course as well as fundraising for the Starlight Educational Foundation.
Toys for Tots is a great charity that collects toys and distributes them to children who would otherwise not have the opportunity to receive a present during Christmas. At last years Candy Cane Course we collected a truckload of toys for children here in our KC area.
The Starlight Educational Foundation is associated with Starlight Theater which is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit organization. There is the opportunity to donate specifically for this on our registration page for the Candy Cane Course.
Let’s make this year’s Candy Cane Course bigger and better by doubling last years collection! For every toy you donate receive a raffle ticket in our drawing!
There will be a collection bin all month in the Bodies Health & Fitness Lee’s Summit studio, and we will also be taking donations at packet pick-up and on race day.

Virtual Races – A Great Option!
Each 5K or 10K Bodies race includes an option to participate virtually! Simply sign up for the race online, choose ‘VIRTUAL RUN’ option and challenge yourself to complete a same-distance course from home. It’s a great way to stay in shape and run all of the Holiday races by Bodies – no matter where you are! Virtual runners receive the same gear as race-day runners; the same registration pricing applies. If you wish to have your virtual packet mailed to you, you must chose the “Shipped to You” option in the Shirt Shipping category on the registration page. Shipping is an additional $5.
We have a no refund policy. If you are unable to participate in the event, or the event is cancelled, you can switch your registration to a virtual registration by emailing David@BodiesHF.com. You still receive your packet, shirt, and medal and you simply run the race on your own time on your own course. Send us a picture or post on Facebook to receive “credit” for your run! Shirts will not be held for runners who switch to the virtual unless you have done so 48 hours prior to race day. You are still responsible for picking up your shirt and packet at packet pick up.
We will not cancel for cold, rain, or snow. The only cause for cancellation would be hazardous road/weather conditions (ice, severe winds, lightning, etc). If cancellation is necessary, we will post on BodiesHealthAndFitness.com, as well as on our Facebook pages, as soon as possible. If you feel that road/weather conditions are unsafe for you to travel, or would be hazardous to your health, you are welcome to switch to the virtual run option.
To participate virtually, simply run the race on your own time, on your own course. Send us a picture (or post on Facebook) and then come to Bodies Health & Fitness Studio in Lee’s Summit to pick up your medal. Or, we can hold it until the next race. We will not mail out virtual packets that are not pre-registered for the virtual option, but you are welcome to pick them up at the studio. To transfer to the virtual option please email David@BodiesHF.com with your full name that you registered under and the distance.
We will not hold shirts for participants that do not pick up packets by 8 a.m. on race day OR switch to the Virtual Race 48 hours prior to race day. Any shirts that have not been picked up at packet pick-up or race day packet pick-up are open for late registrations. If you want to guarantee that your shirt will be available, you need to pick up your packet at packet pick-up or on race day, or switch to the virtual race 48 hours prior to race day.
ALL virtual run participants are welcome to come to packet pick up and pick up their packets and medals.
